Your Average Bill & Yearly Usage

There are 2 ways to find out how much your average SCE bill has been and how much electricity you've used over the last 12 months: from your last 12 paper bills or from the SCE website. These are the 2 figures to put into the Solar Panel Cost & Savings Calculator​. The usage figure is optional, but improves the accuracy of the calculations and estimates.

From Your Last Bills​

Your Average Monthly Bill
Add up the amounts from your monthly bills and divide the total by 12.

Your Annual Usage
​Add up monthly usages in kWh from your 12 most recent bills.​​​

From the SCE Website - sce.com

Your Average Monthly Bill
  1. Create your personal SCE account or log into it
  2. Home Page: scroll down to "Bill and Payment History"
  3. Click down-arrow opposite the year you want
  4. Monthly bills will drop down
  5. Click "View More" for previous months
  6. For previous year, click down-arrow opposite that year
  7. Add up bill amounts for the most recent 12 months
  8. Divide this total by 12 to get your average monthly bill
                                                    OR 
     9.  Click on View Bill for each month, print each bill, total & avg.

Your Annual Usage
  1. Create your personal SCE account or log into it
  2. Home Page: scroll down to "I want to ..."
  3. Click on "View Usage >"
  4. Click on upper-right-hand tab: "Usage"
  5. Click on tab just below it: "Monthly Trend"
  6. After page reloads, click Download button in upper right
  7. Dropdown below Download button shows 2 choices
            a.  Download as HTML text: pick to total manually                                                              
  ​          b.  Download as spreadsheet: pick to open in a spreadsheet
     8.  Total the second column "Net Usage" for the past 12 months
